Ex-Bruins player passes away

Maxner's hockey journey began with an impressive junior career in the OHA in 1963, leading him to don the Boston Bruins jersey from 1964 to 1966, where he contributed 17 points across 61 games.

Over the course of ten seasons, Maxner played professionally in various locations, including Canada, the U.S, and the Netherlands, leaving a mark on the hockey landscape. He retired in 1974 and transitioned to a coaching career in both the OHL and the NHL, notably serving as the head coach for the Detroit Red Wings for two seasons.
