Chara And Bergeron To Join The Boston Bruins Coaching Staff? A Major Development Has Surfaced

On Tuesday, the Boston Bruins made the hiring of Marco Sturm official during his first press conference with the team, and now there is some speculation that the team may be interested in hiring some legendary Bruins players to the coaching staff.
Marco Sturm highlighted some of the big changes he wants to see the Bruins make during his press conference.
But the real big test for the Bruins is going to begin on July 1st, when Don Sweeney goes after free-agents that will decide what type of roster Sturm will be taking over.
The Bruins lacked secondary scoring, and depth players last year, and this is something Sturm spoke out about during his press conference and stated he wanted to see the Bruins get more of both of them.
Don Sweeney is going to have to find some players during free agency, or a trade, that can produce offensively, and have the ability to finish, because Sturms success is going to rely on that.
«A body or two with the kind of pop Sturm delivered in his playing days would be just what the franchise rehab doctor ordered,» wrote Kevin Paul DuPont of the Boston Globe.
Another thing that is going to be important, is who Sturm has with him on the bench. The Bruins are looking for an assistant that can reshape their power play, and someone who has good structure for the back end.
Chara and Bergeron To Join The Bruins Coaching Staff?
Although it would be a fantasy to see two Bruins legends in Bergeron and Chara join the Bruins coaching staff, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
«Right now I do not see it as something I would like to pursue,» Bergeron told DuPont when asked about coaching.
Chara on the other hand is involved with the Boston Bruins, in a non-coaching support role with the organization, and is eager to help them in a way that fits.
