In return, the Los Angeles Kings exchanged two forwards,
Byron Dafoe and Dmitri Khristich.

While this trade may not have been blockbuster, but it was an intriguing one, as this was the first of three trades that the Boston Bruins and Los Angeles Kings made which involved
Jozef Stumpel.
Stumpel was later traded back to the Kings with Glen Murray, on Oct. 24, 2001, for Jason Allison and forward Mikko Eloranta.
Then, shockingly enough, just two years later, Stumpel returned to Los Angeles on June 22, 2003, in a deal that included several draft picks being exchanged.
