Completed trade between the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche takes a surprising turn
A completed trade between the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche during the NHL Trade Deadline has taken an unexpected turn for the betterment of the organization.
The Boston Bruins were very active this past 2025 NHL Trade Deadline, too active some would say, however, a new announcement has suggested the organization may have just struck gold with a one of their acquired players.
The 19-year old forward, was acquired by the Avalache in the 3rd-round, 11th pick, 76th overall, in the 2024 NHL Draft, and is currently playing for the Green Bay Gamblers within the USHL, also known as United States Hockey League.
However, a new announcement has revealed that this young prospect has just been named USHL Player of the Year.
Will Zellers has been named United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Year. The #NHLBruins prospect was named USHL Forward of the Year and to All-USHL First Team on Tuesday. He is committed to the University of North Dakota.

The Boston Bruins later made a post on social media via 'X' to congratulate the young star:
Although Boston fans are unsure of what this young-forward will be able to offer the organization, it is looking as though he might just be very important within the future of the Bruins.
