Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney confirmed that six players will be traded at the NHL trade deadline if their agents do not reach out to him.
Yesterday, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney held a press conference where he addressed multiple concerns regarding the Boston Bruins this season.
Don Sweeney said repeatedly that the Bruins will be taking a more «cautious» approach this trade deadline. Said he doesn't expect to be «overly aggressive.»
Trent Frederic, Cole Koepke, Justin Brazeau are three players that have been involved in a lot of trade rumours this season, and now there are multiple other players that will be heading to a different team either at the trade deadline or in free agency in the off-season.
Six Players Will Not Be Returning To The Boston Bruins
During his press conference yesterday, Don Sweeney gave players agents an ultimatum.
He stated that he will not be reaching out to their agents to work on negotiations.
Frederic, Tufte, Koepke, Brazeau, Wotherspoon, Callahan(is he g6?) are UFAs... Sweeney says there wont be any negotiations further with them unless their agents call to agree on terms.
Have to imagine Frederic and possibly Wotherspoon add value to playoff teams.
With Don Sweeney confirming that the Boston Bruins are going to be sellers at this year's NHL trade deadline, it's not surprising that a couple players are going to be moved, but six players is a lot!
