Elliotte Friedman Confirms The Boston Bruins Will Be Trading A Fan Favourite At The NHL Trade Deadline
Elliotte Friedman today talked about the Boston Bruins and their plans at the NHL trade deadline this year, and confirmed that they will be trading a fan favourite.
This season, the Boston Bruins have been the centre talk around trade rumours and most of it has to do with how inconsistent they have been all year.
The Bruins have been in and out of a playoff spot, and find themselves currently just one spot out of a wildcard position in the
Eastern Conference.
One big problem with that is every other team has a game or multiple in hand on the Bruins.
Don Sweeney said repeatedly that the Bruins will be taking a more «cautious» approach this trade deadline. Said he doesn't expect to be «overly aggressive.»
Today that was backed up by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman when he basically confirmed that fan favourite
Trent Frederic will be on the move.

EF on the #NHLBruins waiving the white flag 🧵:
hearing a bit more Trent Frederic noise. I think they're going through their options there. he (Sweeney) reiterated today he wants Marchand to stay. Marchand made it clear at 4 Nations he wanted to stay, I think they're working...
It's inevitable that if the Bruins don't have a contract extension for Trent Frederic, he is going to be on the move at the NHL trade deadline this year.
This would be a tough loss for the Bruins, as Frederic is the perfect player that fits what the Bruins stand for, but it's better then losing him for nothing in the off-season this year.
Do you think trading fan favourite Trent Frederic is a good idea for the Boston Bruins?
