After a huge win for the Boston Bruins on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils, team morale was at an all-time high, but recent confirmed news by the organizations head coach has confirmed the worst-case news, and it involves a player who was favorited to be named their next captain.
Dwelling news hit the Boston Bruins this past week following a sad announcement from the NHL themselves, stating that they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention.
After a brutal trade of Brad Marchand at the NHL trade deadline which angered fans, paired with several losing streaks since Marchn 7th, fans and players cannot wait for the season to be over.
Unfortunately for one Bruins player, it appears he may have just gotten that wish himself.
Charlie McAvoy done for the year
It appears the next projected captain of the team has suffered an injury setback, causing him to be done for the rest of the season.
Sacco: Both Charlie McAvoy and Mark Kastelic won't play before the end of the regular season. Both have made progress, but won't be cleared by the medical staff in time.
This is quite unfortunate, as Charlie McAvoy will now be unable to regain his footing due to the long absence before the season ends, and will now have to get back into gaming action when the 2025-26 season starts.
