NHL Announces Finalists for the Selke Trophy
The NHL will be announcing the finalists for its awards with round two of the playoff starting, and tonight is was one that fans are used to seeing Patrice Bergeron win, the Selke Trophy.
Back-to-Back Selkes?
During game one between the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs, the league announced the three nominees for the Selke and also the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy.
This is Bergeron's 12th consecutive Selke nomination since his first win after the 2011-12 season. Joining him as finalists are Mitchell Marner of the Maple Leafs (1st) and Nico Hischier of the Devils (1st).
What's even more incredible, is that in that span, Bergeron has won it an NHL record five times, and was voted runner-up another four.
Will Patrice Bergeron capture another Selke Trophy to add to his record?
