A recent report by Bleacher Report has linked the Edmonton Oilers' Stuart Skinner to the Boston Bruins.
Recently, Bleacher Report listed three potential trade destinations for Skinner this year, and one of the clubs named was the Boston Bruins, alongside Utah Mammoth and Buffalo Sabres.
"It's not all goaltender Stuart Skinner's fault that the Oilers have not been able to conquer the Panthers in two consecutive Cup Finals, but the goaltending could certainly be more consistent-and something needs to change for Connor McDavid to raise a Cup in Edmonton," wrote Sara Civian.
"Skinner can be a starter with a $2.6 million contract next year, which is solid value for any team not contending for a Cup. At this time, it is uncertain what the Boston Bruins would be willing to trade in exchange for Stuart Skinner, but if he does in fact come to Boston, the deal is suggested to be with goalies as the focal point.
Last would most likely mean either Joonas Korpisalo or Michael DiPietro would depart from Boston and make their way into Edmonton, as Jeremy Swayman's position in the Bruins roster is almost guaranteed to stick, especially following his recent long-term deal with the organization.
