The Boston Bruins announced some major injury news on Tuesday. 

Boston will be down one defenseman for the remainder of the season after surgery. 
Jakub Zboril is out for the year after surgery for his torn ACL in his right knee. 
The successful surgery happened on December 16. 
The 24 year old had 3 assists in 10 games so far this season after registering 9 assists in 42 games last year, his first full season in the NHL. 
Head coach Bruce Cassidy also announced that Brandon Carlo has been placed in COVID protocol.
