The first trade of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft has officially happened!
The New York Rangers have traded goaltender Alexandar Georgiev to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a third-round and fifth-round selection in the 2022 NHL Draft and a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

The 26-year-old had a 28-15-10 last season with a goals-against-average of 2.92, a save percentage of .898 and two shutouts.
