They say things come in threes and the Boston Bruins have proved this versus the Detroit Red Wings.

The Bruins picked up their third win of the season over the Red Wings on Tuesday night by scoring three goals in all three meetings.
After a scoreless first period with very few scoring chances, business picked up in the second period.  Martin Frk opened up the scoring with a power play goal just two minutes into the period.  Frk one-timed a feed from Niklas Kronwall just above the right dot that found its way through Tukka Rask, who was in good position.
Sean Kuraly was the beneficiary of some slick passing to tie the game just over 10 minutes later.  Danton Heinen settled down a bouncing puck and chipped it over to David Pastrnak in the left circle.  Pastrnak quickly passed back across the ice to Kuraly who roofed a shot over Jimmy Howard for his fourth goal of the season and first since November 24.
Just over two minutes later, David Krejci gave the Bruins their first lead of the night with his 10th goal of the year. After sending the puck across the ice, Krejci headed to the slot where he buried a loose puck past Howard.  Jake DeBrusk and Ryan Spooner were credited with the assists.
After helping set up the Bruins first goal, Heinen scored the eventual game winning goal 8:31into the third period as he got a pass from Kuraly in the right circle and fired a wrist shot over Howard for his 12th goal.  Austin Czarnik was credited with the secondary assist for his second helper in as many games.
Frans Neilsen gave the home team some hope by cutting the Bruins lead to 3-2 with just 1:24 left in regulation.  With Howard on the bench for the extra attacker, Neilsen roofed the rebound off a Frk point shot to make things interesting.
The Bruins were able to hang on for the win to improve to 4-1-0 during Brad Marchand's suspension.  The Bruins will get their leading scorer back against the New York Rangers tomorrow night.
