Controversial penalty call leads Gold Medal winning-goal (VIDEO)

Finland defeated Canada on home soil to win gold at the 2022 IIHF World Championships on Sunday afternoon. However, it didn't come without its controversy.
Hockey fans are well aware of the difference in officiating from NHL to International play but sometimes it gets a little too «soft» (for lack of a better term).
After Canada fought back from 3-1 in the final two minutes of the third to send the game to overtime, the referees called a penalty on Ottawa Senators defenseman
Thomas Chabot just over five minutes into the extra frame.
But did they make a good call? Watch the play here:
Finland would score on the ensuing powerplay and win the gold medal. It's incidents like this that make officiating in the NHL playoffs more exciting to watch. When the refs put their whistles away, in a sense, so games aren't decided like this.
