There was a scary scene in Thursday night's game between the Florida Panthers and the Dallas Stars involving goaltender Scott Wedgewood.
After making back-to-back saves, the Stars netminder went down holding his lower back. After remaining on the ice for several minutes, he was stretchered off.
Stars head coach Peter DeBoer shared the following statement after last night's game:
''We're going to go home and get him checked out, but obviously, you never like to see that. ... He's not in any danger, he's coherent, all of that stuff.''
Sounds like somewhat good news after the scary scene for Wedgewood, and according to Matthew DeFranks of Dallas Morning News, he was seen walking around in the dressing room post-game.
After an incident like that, it's a relief Wedgewood was able to walk around post-game.
