Although Boston and Providence are only about an hour apart, the Bruins have had Jakub Lauko in a ''recall blender'', as Ty Anderson put it.
The team first recalled Lauko from the AHL on an emergency basis on Saturday and subsequently sent him down on Sunday, only to recall the forward once again on Monday afternoon.
It's most likely that Lauko stayed in Boston the entire time because making him fly back and forth would have been a cruel move by the team. Despite the whirlwind, the 22-year-old also poked some fun at his own expense on social media:
Lauko has appeared in 12 NHL games this season, registering 3 goals and 2 assists. He also has 10 goals and 7 assists in 35 games for Providence this season.
