Who remembers the infamous ''Zamboni Door Fight'' between the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres?
On December 13th, 1972, Sabres' Jim Schoenfeld and the Bruins' Wayne Cashman kept the fight going after the Zamboni doors opened and threw punches down the tunnel.
Schoenfeld initially hit Cashman into the doors, and they crashed through the battled off the rink in the old Memorial Auditorium.
The Sabres ended up beating the Bruins 7-3, but that didn't matter anymore. The game featured 154 penalty minutes (76 for Buffalo and 78 for Boston). While the Cashman brawl was the most memorable, Bobby Orr also fought Schoenfeld.
