A Major Announcement Was Made Regarding Boston Bruins Legend Jack Edwards

Today, NESN made a major announcement regarding a Boston Bruins fan favourite and a legend of the franchise, Jack Edwards.
Jack Edwards began his with various reporter and anchor roles in New Hampshire and Providence before he would finally join the Boston Bruins, and NESN as the voice of the Boston Bruins.
Edwards ended up joining the Boston Bruins and NESN in 2005, and the rest was history.
It's easy to see how he quickly became a fan favourite for the organization, his calls were electric, he brought everything he had every night, and he had a massive passion for what he did.
Jack Edwards ended up announcing his retirement on April 16th, 2024 and revealed that after the first round of the playoffs, he would officially call it a career.
The Boston Bruins would go on to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first-round, and gave Jack Edwards a nice parting gift.
When announcing his retirement, this is what Edwards had to say:
«I grew up a Bruins fan, and who had more fun than us over the last two decades?» said Jack Edwards. «In collaboration with Bruins and NESN leadership, I recently decided that the time has come for me to finish my shift as the voice of the Boston Bruins. I am no longer able to attain the standards I set for myself, to honor the fans, the players, the Bruins organization and NESN with the best they all deserve.»
«I retire from broadcasting not with a heavy heart, but gratefulness for a 19-year-long joyride,» Jack continued. «I owe my career, my own pursuit of happiness, to the love and support of my family. I thank every member of the Bruins and NESN for your loyalty, helping me to achieve and live out a lifetime goal, high above the ice.»

NESN Issued An Announcement On Jack Edwards
Today is a special day for Jack Edwards, and NESN took the time to recognize it.
Jack Edwards turns 68-years-old today, and his family over at NESN posted a tribute video of him with some of his best calls, take a look:
