Last night, March 23, the Boston Bruins took on the Los Angeles Kings which created a stirred altercation between each team's net-minder, and it has been revealed as to why this fight was on the rise.

Jeremy Swayman has been a hot topic in Boston, but not for any reason he should be proud of, as the team has been suggested to be open on trading this 26-year old in this year's NHL off-season, and if things go as plan, it looks as though the goaltender is looking to go out with a bang.
During yesterday's game, fans were stunned as the Bruins' net-minder began to lure the Kings' Darcy Kuemper to the middle of the ice and both players began to drop the gloves.
The altercation was stopped by referees before a hit was made, yet Swayman was still fired up in the change room for postgame interviews.

Reporters began to investigate the cause of his altercation and the Bruins goaltender did not resist any words.

"What made you challenge Kuemper?" The reporter stated.

The goaltender then expressed his reasoning behind the altercation:

"He touched one of my guys and I think that was something that I am not gonna accept and kudos to him, he stepped up, just it got broken up."

"Did you believe they were going to let you go?" The reporter responded.

"Yeah, you hope so but, and it's, it didn't happen so we just move forward." Swayman stated.

Boston's netminder then continued:

"It just comes down to sticking up for my teammates, I don't care who it is, it's a guy in black and gold. You're not going to touch him without getting contested and I care about every one of these guys, like a brother, that's just the way I felt and I felt like it was my turn to step up."

Although the fight was stopped before it even started, Swayman is seemingly frustrated from the organization's current standings and it looked as though he was open to take some of that frustration off his shoulders and onto the opposing team.
