Another honor for Big Zee 🙌
The #NHLBruins legend has been named to the @NHL's Quarter-Century Team.
Congrats, Zdeno!
Chara was selected by the New York Islanders in the third round (56th overall) of the 1996 NHL Draft, and was in his third season in the league when the calendar made the switch to 2000.
From Jan.1, 2000 and on,
Zdeno Chara played more games than any defenseman, and he's second to forward Patrick Marleau amongst all players.
Chara signed with the Bruins in 2006, and was quickly named captain upon arrival, where he spent 14 seasons and helped the Bruins win the Cup in 2011, and reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2013 and 2019.
Boston fans are more than happy this Stanley Cup champion received this award.
Congratulations Chara!
