Many Boston Bruins fans expected a very busy off-season, and one that had a lot of moves to improve the roster for the upcoming year.
Especially after having one of the most disappointing seasons in the past decade, and missing the playoffs for the first time in eight years.
But it was quite the opposite for General Manager Don Sweeney.
Now Don Sweeney is presented the perfect opportunity to acquire a legit top-six star in the league, and the cost was just revealed.
With the Boston Bruins needing some secondary scoring help heading into next year, the perfect player just hit the trade market for them.
But Chris Johnston has just reported that it's going to take "a lot" to acquire him from the Pittsburgh Penguins:
Chris Johnston: The price for Rickard Rakell is "especially high" - Chris Johnston Show
Rakell would be the perfect player to bring in some secondary scoring, last year he finished the year with 35 goals, 35 assists for 70 points in 81 games.
He would immediately make an impact on the Bruins offense, and would drastically help out their power play.
With the asking price being super high, it's unlikely that Don Sweeney will try and trade for him, but at the end of the day, he is the player the Bruins are looking for.
