A major turn of events have surfaced in the Boston Bruins organization acquiring a top Buffalo Sabres defenseman, Bowen Byram.
Boston Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, does not intend to take this year's offseason for granted, as the organization has already kicked off the summer with several acquisitions and departures in order to pursue the team's on-going re-build.
With that being said, this Original Six franchise is doing all means necessary to dissect players available on the market who are capable of bringing the organization to the next step.
Luckily for the Bruins, who are currently lacking on the left side of their defence, the team has found a current Buffalo Sabres defenseman who can offer the organization the help they are in desperate need of.

Bowen Byram's previous two-year, $7.7M deal with the Buffalo Sabres expired at the end of the 2024/25 NHL season, leaving this blueliner to be a RFA.
With that being said, the Boston Bruins organization have been linked to this 24-year old.
However, new insight has unveiled that the Bruins have competition, as the Detroit Red Wings have now been rumored to stealing Bowen from the market.
