After making some NHL history Tuesday night, Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak issued a statement and had a super humble response furthering why he should be the next captain of the organization.

At one point during the season, David Pastrnak wasn't even on pace to be a point per game player, which would have ended up 6 straight seasons of being above a point per game player.
But since the calendar year flipped over to 2025, Pastrnak has been a beast for the Boston Bruins, and has easily been the heart and soul of the team.
Last night Pastrnak furthered that by hitting the 100 point mark for the third straight season making NHL history as he became the first born Czechia player to put up 100 or more points in three straight seasons.
David Pastrnak become the first Czech-born player in NHL history to record 100 points in three consecutive seasons. Of note, Jaromir Jagr only had one set of back-to-back 100-point seasons (1997-98 & 1998-99).
After making NHL history, David Pastrnak had a super humble response in a statement.

Pastrnak's Humble Response To Making NHL History

David Pastrnak spoke on hitting the 100 points mark for the third straight season, and his response was super humble and filled with class.
Pastrnak stated that it definitely is a great honor, but he feels like it's his job to put up points, and that it changes nothing for him still as he is only chasing one thing, in a Stanley Cup:
#NHLBruins David Pastrnak on reaching 100 points, "For me, I'm obviously an offensive player. That's what I'm supposed to do so obviously, a great honor, but at the same time, I feel like that's my job. It's good but nothing changed for me. There's only thing I'm chasing."
The way Pastrnak has been handling himself since the Boston Bruins traded captain Brad Marchand, it feels like he may be the next captain of the organization.
