Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney reportedly tried to acquire a former first round pick from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
This off-season has seen the Boston Bruins involved in multiple trade rumors.
According to reports, this time the Boston Bruins were interested in trying to acquire a young forward.
An insider revealed that the Boston Bruins were trying to work on a deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets to acquire
Yegor Chinakhov.
Don Sweeney made an offer for Yegor Chinakhov
Insider Dominic Tiano revealed that the Boston Bruins tried to acquire Chinakhov from the Blue Jackets.
Tiano stated that the Bruins made a pitch for Chinakhov:

It's unclear what the Boston Bruins ended up offering in the trade for him.
But clearly it wasn't good enough for the Columbus Blue Jackets as they ended up rejecting the deal.
The Boston Bruins are looking to get younger, and are retooling, making
Chinakhov a perfect addition to their roster.
At least Don Sweeney made an attempt to acquire him, especially considering he has a high ceiling.
