Bruins Sign Top Defenseman Prospect
The Boston Bruins just announced that they've given an entry-level contract to one of their top prospects.
Lohrei is one of the most interesting prospect in Boston. He was drafted by the Bruins with the 58th total pick in 2020.
He signed an entry-level contract for two years and a cap hit of $925,000.
"Boston Bruins announce they've signed D-man prospect Mason Lohrei to a two-year entry level contract with a cap hit of $925,000 at the NHL level. Lohrei had an assist in 5 AHL games with Providence at the end of the season and is Boston's top defensemen prospect."
This season, he played for the Ohio State University and scored 32 pointsin 40 games. He also wore the Providence Bruins jersey for five games, tallying one assist.
