Former Boston Bruins Captain Brad Marchand has found himself a new home in Sunrise, Florida as he's made the quick adjustment to the Panthers red.

While it seems strange to everyone in the NHL that Marchand will be wearing a Panthers crest and colors, his teammates are getting the same feeling.
It's odd, more or less.
Gustav Forsling would expand on the topic.
«It was a little weird early on, to be honest, just seeing him in Panther gear and everything,» defenseman Gustav Forsling said on WQAM's «Tobin and Leroy» show. «But, we had some battles throughout the years, but he's super nice, to be honest.»

He would also compliment Marchand's game who he's had to compete against in the playoffs, and regular season first as foes.
Now, it's as teammates on Amerant Bank Arena's ice.
Forsling continued: «He's fitting in perfectly. He's such a nice guy. I think even his game on the ice is gonna be perfect for us. He's got that skating ability to just stay on the D-men, and he's going to be perfect for our forecheck. Super skilled, obviously, and can make some plays and score some big goals for us.»

While some people are thinking about a line with Matthew Tkachuk and Brad Marchand, when they're both healthy Forsling is thinking outside of the box.
«Add Sam Bennett to that,» Forlsing said. «I wouldn't want to play those guys.»
Or with Marchand and Bennett both having rat-like personalities, inside the box?

Either way, the adjustment will take some time, as no one expected Brad Marchand to be traded this season.

In the offseason, when the team didn't make the playoffs, maybe a more reasonable timeline.

However, GM Don Sweeney set those expectations up for us and has failed immensely.

Just like he has failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

And now Brad Marchand is about to become best-friends with Sam Bennett, Gustav Forsling, and Matthew Tkachuk.

What cruel irony.
