Leading into their game tonight, the Bruins were hit with some major game changing injury news.

The Bruins have been struggling recently with some injuries, and tonight ahead of their game, they will be without a top-six forward once again.
Ahead of their first meeting against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night, the Bruins announced they were going to be without Casey Mittelstadt.
Mittelstadt ended up suffering an upper-body injury ahead of the game and did not travel with the team to Toronto.
Marco Sturm stated that he is going to be out week-to-week, meaning he will not be able to play tonight.
Marco Sturm on Casey Mittelstadt: "He's week to week, but I think he's doing better than we expected. So hopefully we can get him on the ice as soon as possible."

Bruins also get good news ahead of 2nd meeting with Leafs

Despite the bad news, the Bruins got some good news as well ahead of their rematch with the Leafs.
Charlie McAvoy is officially returning to the lineup tonight for the Bruins after not traveling to Toronto with the team due to a personal matter.
Charlie McAvoy is home because of a personal matter. Casey Mittlestadt (upper body) did not travel.
Along with that, it seems like forward John Beecher is also good to go after suffering an injury in their previous game against the Ottawa Senators.
It's unclear whether or not Beecher is going to play tonight, as it looked like he was an extra at practice the other day, but he could be an option for the Bruins tonight.
