The Boston Bruins have been struggling as of late to say the least, and in order for the team's re-build to be successful, they are desperate need of some new faces in their franchise, and it was just revealed that the organization is taking this seriously as they have just made a new signing with a top prospect.

The Boston Bruins' AHL team, Providence Bruins, just announced they have signed a 23-year old forward this morning, March 25, which was revealed by their General Manager, Evan Gold.
The forward, Jake Schmaltz, was signed to a one-year contract with the AHL, also know as American Hockey League, for the duration of the 2025/26 season, and will be joining the Providence Bruins on an Amateur Tryout for the remainder of this season.

Jake Schmaltz's career thus far

This 6-foot-1, 167 pound, Schmaltz, participated in 38 games with the University of North Dakota this year, tallying six goals and 10 assists, and has appeared in 147 career NCAA games over four seasons in North Dakota, totaling 20 goals and 43 assists, for 63 points.
He played three USHL seasons with the Chicago Steel and Green Bay Gamblers from 2018-2021, and was selected by Boston in the seventh round (192nd overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
The 23-year old has become a top prospect for the Boston Bruins organization due to his stats and outstanding gameplay. He continued to prove his value in the game of hockey, which that ultmately concluding in his new contract with Bruins organization.
