NHL insider officially links the Boston Bruins to Colorado Avalanche super star Martin Necas
Martin Necas was recently involved in a high-profile deal this past 2025 NHL Trade Deadline, as he was traded by the Carolina Hurricanes to the Avalanche, which sent the highly skilled
Mikko Rantanen out of Colorado.
However, according to multiple reports and new insight from NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman, Necas may already be eyeing an exit from his new organization, as it seems this talented Czech forward isn't feeling settled in Denver.
"There was a sense Necas wasn't overly thrilled with his experience in Colorado and that he wants to explore other options," Friedman noted during a recent segment.
The Boston Bruins may have a second chance at acquiring a top-line Czech forward
During the past trade deadline that saw Rantanen and Necas swap organization's, the
Boston Bruins reportedly kept tabs on the former Avalanche forward, Mikko Rantanen.
And although they missed out on the opportunity of acquiring the star winger, Necas might give the Boston Bruins organization another chance at scoring a top-line Czech forward, and this time, it might just be a better fit.
The Boston Bruins' David Pastrnak has history with Colorado Avalanche's Martin Necas
The Bruins' key-forward, David Pastrnak, and Necas already have history, as these two impactful forwards played together during this year's IIHF World Championship, and the two immediately sparked chemistry.
Boston Bruins' Don Sweeney needs to show aggression this summer in order for the organization to return to contention
As the Bruins organization is in the midst of transition, GM Don Sweeney is in desperate need of aggression this offseason, especially if he has interest in Necas.
