The 2024-25 season was a disaster for the Boston Bruins, and there were multiple players to blame for that.
Because of this, Boston Bruins were expected to make some big moves in the off-season to become a more competitive team for the 2025-26 season.
But none of the moves that he made really stood out as game changing moves.
All of the players that Don Sweeney ended up signing were bottom six, depth players that will not make a big difference heading into the next season.
Now, Sweeney has a good chance to acquire an ideal linemate for
David Pastrnak.
David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period recently revealed that the Seattle Kraken are open to moving on from Jared McCann.
The Seattle Kraken remain open to moving forward Jared McCann if the right offer presents itself according to @TheFourthPeriod. Potentially losing arguably the most valuable forward on the roster doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
McCann would make an immediate impact for the Boston Bruins, he would speed up the re-tool for the organization, while also adding to the Bruins 5v5 scoring.
He can also be slotted into the Bruins top power play unit, and would definitely make an impact.
If you're the #NHLBruins you move assets to get a guy like McCann. He speeds up your re-tool, adds to your 5v5 scoring, and immediately Updates the roster.
Don Sweeney needs to be interested in him if he's serious about wanting to get the Boston Bruins back to being a competitive team.
