The real reason the Boston Bruins didn't hire Mike Sullivan as head coach was revealed and it is shocking
A new announcement has revealed why the Boston Bruins missed out on signing Mike Sullivan as their next head coach for the organization and it is surprising.
Just recently it was confirmed that former Pittsburgh Penguins head coach,
Mike Sullivan, will be making his way into the New York Rangers rather than the Boston Bruins organization, according to a trusted Ranger's insider, Vince Z. Mercogliano.
However, a new announcement unveiled the reason why this head coach made his way to New York rather than Boston, and it may come as surprise.
Several fans and reporters speculated that this top coaching candidate was going to make his way to Boston's organization, yet a report announced the reason the team missed out on the opportunity.
«The Rangers made Sullivan their No. 1 with a bullet and were willing to make him one of, if not the highest paid coach in NHL history. The Bruins didn't prioritize him like that. We can debate whether they should've, but this wasn't gonna be a bidding war.»
The Boston Bruins organization was not willing to prioritize Mike Sullivan quite as well as the New York Rangers.
Although this does not come as surprising to most of Boston's fan-base, due to the fact the Bruins organization refuses to overpay, it is still unfortunate that the team missed out on this huge opportunity.
Despite the missed opportunity, the Bruins organization still has plenty of time prior to the 2025/26 NHL season to find their next head coach to replace their current one, Joe Sacco.
