Unexpected Boston Bruins forward set to take on a massive role with the organization next season

The Boston Bruins were very busy during this year's NHL trade deadline and undoubtedly shook things up within the hockey world, however, new potential has been noted as a recently acquired forward may just be the future of the organization.
During the trade deadline, the Boston Bruins shook things up by adding young talent like Casey Mittelstadt in a deal that found Charlie Coyle sent to the Colorado Avalanche.
This trade erupted as the organization assumed Casey Mittelstadt could offer the organization a boost in skilled, young forwards, but the 26-year old's start in Boston was definitely rocky.
In Mittelstadt's 18 games within the Bruins organization, he managed just four goals and six points, with a brutal plus/minus -17 rating.
The 26-year old forward finished the season with 15 goals, 40 points in just 81 games (split between his time with the Avalanche and Bruins), and although his record may be disappointing for some fans, it is too early to write off the 2017 eight-overall draft pick.
Casey Mittestadt can offer the Boston Bruins organization a bright future
The forward has shown he can shine, in 2022/23 with the Buffalo Sabres, he scored a whopping 15 goals and accumulated a career-high 59 points within just 82 games. The following season, he tallied 18 goals, and 57 points within 80 games between the Sabres and Avalanche.
This young forward has proven that when he's on his game, he can be a dynamic second-line center, exactly what the Boston Bruins roster needs to strengthen their offense.
Adjusting to a new organization and destination takes time, but Mittelstadt's past success suggests he could make a comeback in the 2025/26 NHL season.
With all being said, if Mittelstatdt rediscovers his scoring abilities, he might become a key piece of Boston's lineup, and the organization is counting on him to provide points up the middle.
