Ahead of the Providence Bruins game, a major announcement was made regarding head coach Ryan Mougenel after he stepped away from the organization for awhile.
With the Providence Bruins being in the middle of a playoff series against Springfield, a huge announcement was just made ahead of their game regarding their head coach.
Statement from Evan Gold of the Bruins:
"Providence Bruins Head Coach Ryan Mougenel will be temporarily away from the team to attend to a family matter. Assistant Coach Trent Whitfield will assume head coaching responsibilities in the interim"
The reasoning behind him stepping away was unclear, but it was just revealed.
Why Providence Bruins head coach stepped away from the organization
It was revealed today that the reason behind him stepping away from the team was because he was spending time with his father, who recently passed away.
Expect P-Bruins will get a lift out of coach Ryan Mougenel's return to Providence bench today
He's been away from team for couple of weeks to be with his father, Ron, who passed away recently
