The Florida Panthers Have Officially Revealed Brad Marchand's New Linemates

Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney opted to have a complete fire sale during the NHL Trade deadline. Everyone knew that the Bruins were going to be sellers, but not a lot of people expected the Bruins to have a complete fire sale.

The biggest shock came just three minutes before the 3 p.m. ET deadline when it was announced that the Boston Bruins had traded their captain to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a conditional first-round pick.

Leading up to the deadline, there was a lot of speculation that Marchand was going to be traded, but not many believed it was actually going to happen, let alone getting traded to a divisional rival.

But as new reports came out, it was revealed that Marchand turned down multiple contract extensions from the Bruins, and instead requested a trade to the Florida Panthers stating it was the only team he wanted to go and play for.

This seriously hurt the return the Boston Bruins got back for their captain, along with him being injured as well.

With Marchand nearing a return to the ice, his new linemates have officially been revealed by an insider.

Florida Panthers reporter George Richards revealed today that Brad Marchand was practicing on the Panthers second line with Samoskevich and Bennett.

It is assumed that once Matthew Tkachuk returns back to action he will join this line, but man is that ever a scary line.

The Florida Panthers are looking to make another run at the Stanley Cup this year, and adding Brad Marchand to their team just before the playoffs will definitely increase their chances.
