We have another massive trade to announce, as the Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly dealt 22-year-old Rasmus Sandin to the Washington Capitals.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman broke the news moments ago:
Sandin was originally selected 29th overall by Toronto at the 2019 Entry Draft. In 140 career games, he has 10 goals and 38 assists, including a career high 20 points so far this season.
TSN's Mark Masters previously shared Sandin leaving the Leafs mid-practice:
Gustafsson, 30, is a pure offensive defenseman who has bounced around the league the past few seasons. He currently has 7 goals and 31 assists in 61 games for the Capitals this season.
The Maple Leafs also regain some draft capital they lost in the trades with St. Louis and Chicago.
