The Boston Bruins announced some news which some fans will be pretty sad about.
The team announced that longtime national anthem singer Rene Rancourt will retire at the end of the season.
Rancourt has taken care of anthem duties for the Bruins for 42 years going back to 1975-76. While Rancourt can sing, he's most known for his signature fist pump which is inspired by former Bruin Randy Burridge.
They'll be a special night on April 8th, the team's final home game, which the Bruins will honor the long time singer.
He's also a trained opera singer who actually got his starts with anthems at Red Sox games.
