The Bruins will try to start a new point streak when they take the ice against the St. Louis Blues after Tuesday's disappointing outing versus the Anaheim Ducks.
Bruce Cassidy held an optional skate this morning, but updated reporters on the health of his team. Anders Bjork's upper-body injury will keep him out through at least the weekend.
Noel Acciari is out tonight, but no update after that.
Defenseman
Charlie McAvoy has been cleared for practice and Cassidy did not rule him out for Saturday's game versus the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In other pregame news, Patrice Bergeron was named the NHL's Second Star of the Month for January. Bergeron finished the month with nine goals, 17 points and two hat tricks in 11 games. Evegeni Malkin and his 12 goals and 19 points beat out Bergeron for First Star honors.
Meanwhile, the Blues come into tonight's game winners of four of their last five games, including a 3-1 win in Montreal on Tuesday. They have just two fewer wins (eight) over Atlantic Division opponents this season than the Bruins do.
