The Boston Bruins point streak came to an end thanks to a 3-1 loss in regulation to the Anaheim Ducks.

The team can thank their slow start for the loss letting Anaheim score first while being outshot 15-5 in the first period finding themselves down 2-0 heading back to the locker room.

The Bruins have actually let their opponent score first for eight consecutive games, bringing their record to 11-10-3 when their opponent scores first compared to 18-1-5 when the B's get on the board first.

"We've talked about it. Do you change your game-day routine? That's the first thing you look at, and I don't think we need to because we've been pretty consistent with that for a year-long stretch now. Are we complacent?" said head coach Bruce Cassidy.

Cassidy also feels the team needs better jump starts at home with other teams gunning for them while on a hot streak.

"There are a lot of things that go into it, but it's on the entire group to understand that it's not acceptable anymoreespecially at home where you should be well-rested and have the jump. As a staff the onus comes to us to coach in a few more details right off the bat, so maybe you're a little more specific on the first five minutes to get them focused. It is a concern and I don't think there's one magic answer to it."

After stacking up points for the last couple of months is the team starting to lose a bit of their hunger?
