The Boston Bruins faced off against Connor McDavid and the high-flying offense of the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night, and even though it wasn't their best effort, came away with a 3-2 win.
Despite McDavid himself scoring goals number 49 and 50 of the season, the league-leading Bruins were able to once again find a way to close out a game. That didn't go unnoticed by the Oilers captain, who had some nice words to share about his most recent opponents:
The Bruins continue to pace the league with a 46-8-5 record, a plus-98 goal differential and 97 points in just 59 games. Boston's seventh consecutive victory has them an 11 point cushion in the East and a 15 points over Toronto for first in the Atlantic Division.
