Retired forward Lee Stempniak made two separate stops in Boston during his NHL career.
Stempniak was first acquired by the Bruins at the trade deadline on February 29th, 2016, in exchange for a second-round and fourth-round pick. After two seasons with Carolina Hurricanes, the veteran returned to the Bruins by signing a professional tryout on September 10th, 2018, and officially signed a one-year, one-way contract with Boston on February 24th, 2019, after a stint in Providence.
In 21 career games with the Bruins, Stempniak recorded 3 goals and 7 assists.
Now, after retiring after the 2018-19 season, the longtime forward has found a job with an NHL team:
Over his 14-year career, he appeared in 911 games with the St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, Phoenix Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Winnipeg Jets, New Jersey Devils, Carolina Hurricanes and the Bruins. He recorded a total of 203 goals and 266 assists for 469 points.
