Since the start of the NHL season we've heard plenty of speculation surrounding Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug.
Krug will be UFA after this season and we've heard some chatter his future might not be in Boston.
The defenseman has said publicly that he likely wouldn't be willing to take a hometown discount seeing this is the biggest contract of his career.
That statement led to lots of trade speculation because most don't want to see Krug walk for the Bruins for nothing.
However even if Krug leaves after this season, he's much more valuable in the lineup as they make another push to try and get back to the Stanley Cup Finals.
According to Boston Hockey Now, general manager Don Sweeney has made his decision regarding the remainder of the 2019-20 season for Krug.
Sweeney has reportedly told Krug that he won't be moved before the deadline and won't be asked to waive his modified no trade clause.
Great news because Krug is a key piece to the Bruins success during the playoffs.
