Things are said on the ice all the time, chirping is part of the game of hockey, but, there's a line.
If that line gets crossed in the heat of a game you better be ready to pay for it.
Last night, the Anaheim Ducks were taking on the Arizona Coyotes, near the end of the second period a scrum ensued and
Trevor Zegras and
Troy Stecher got into a heated exchange.
5 second mark of this you can see Zegras say ''your Dads watching'' to Stecher. Stecher's dad passed away in 2020
After a brief exchange, Stecher absolutely loses his mind after Zegras points to the sky and appears to say «he's up watching» which prompts Stecher to go into a rage.
Stecher, whose father died in 2020 was very close with him. If that was what Zegras said to him, it's understandable that Stecher would want to take Zegras's head off.
