The Boston Bruins left Texas with a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over the Dallas Stars, and it was a record setting night for multiple reasons.
Not only did the team tie league history with its 40th win in 53 games, but two players also set personal bests with big nights in the scoresheet.
As per Ty Anderson of 98.5 The Sports Hub:
''Pavel Zacha set a new single-season career-high in points tonight with that overtime assist. Up to 37 points in 53 games with the B's this season.''
''Also: Hampus Lindholm tied his single-season career-high in points with an assist tonight, bringing him up to 34 on the year. His assist was his 28th of the year, establishing a new single-season career-high in that respect.''
Both Zacha and Lindholm, who were both acquired by Don Sweeney in the past year, are setting career highs in their first season in Boston.
