A surprising revelation has surfaced involving Boston Bruins Morgan Geekie

Last season was unique for Morgan Geekie. Throughout the season, there was a lot of speculation that Don Sweeney was going to trade Geekie.

Midway through the season, a lot of fans were calling for Don Sweeney to trade him, but things turned around quick.

The Boston Bruins opted to keep Geekie past the NHL trade deadline, and fans are thankful for it.

Geekie was a big success story for the Bruins who had a terrible 2024-25 season.

And now entering the new season, there is some belief that he can hit 40 goals this season.

Geekie ended up having a career year for himself, and it ultimately ended up cementing himself as a big part of the Boston Bruins organization going forward.

He ended up earning himself a six-year extension with the Boston Bruins that comes with a $5.5 million cap hit.

This came after Geekie had a career year, scoring 33 goals, 24 assists and 57 points in 77 games with the Boston Bruins.

During his final 25 games of the season, Geekie was red hot scoring 16 goals and 28 points.

In his final 11 games, he had an 11 game point streak going where he had nine goals, 10 assists for 19 points.

Because of the way he finished the year, now there is some belief that he could end up scoring 40 goals, especially considering the chemistry the Bruins top line had to end the year.
