A new report from a trusted NHL insider has suggested that the Bruins are going to lose a forward for free after being placed on waivers.
Yesterday, with all the injuries the Bruins are going through, they made a bunch of moves.
Roster moves by Boston:
Arvidsson and Mittelstadt placed on IR.
Jordan Harris placed on LTIR.
Matej Blumel and Riley Tufte recalled from Providence.
Following these announcements, the Bruins ended up announcing that forward
John Beecher was being placed on
waivers.
Although the purpose of this move is for him to be sent down to the AHL, Elliotte Friedman revealed that there is a chance he doesn't make it down there.
According to Friedman, he believes that one of the Montreal Canadiens or Vancouver Canucks may look to claim Beecher off of waivers.
Elliotte Friedman on centre John Beecher on the waiver wire today : Montreal is looking for a centre and I don't think I would be surprised if Vancouver checked in on him.
Losing Beecher for free would suck, but wouldn't be the worst case scenario as he's struggled to find playing time with the Bruins this year.
