The Boston Bruins Just Made A Shocking Move Involving Ex-Captain Brad Marchand Ahead Of Finals

The General Manager decided to move on from captain Brad Marchand, trading him to the Florida Panthers.

In return the Boston Bruins got back a conditional second-round pick, which turned into a first-round pick due to the Florida Panthers making the Eastern Conference Finals.

Now the Florida Panthers are in the Stanley Cup Finals, and are facing the Edmonton Oilers for the second straight year, and the Boston Bruins made a shocking move to show their support for former captain Brad Marchand.

An announcement this morning revealed that the Edward Everett Hale statue that sits in the Boston Public Garden has had a Brad Marchand placed on it to show their support for their former captain while he chases another Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers:

Marchand has been to the finals multiple times, but only has one Stanley Cup win which came with the Boston Bruins in 2011.

Now he is looking to add to his trophy case starting tonight when game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals takes place.
