The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney extended qualifying offers to the majority of their restricted free agents but one name was left off the list.
According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, Nick Ritchie was not given a qualifying offer.
That means the 25 year old will become a unrestricted free agent on Wednesday.
Ritchie was left unprotected by the Bruins last week during the expansion draft and it seems things might have changes as they originally planed to qualify him last week.
The forward registered 28 points in 63 games for the Bruins along with 56 penalty minutes.
